Our practice provides orthodontic services including Invisalign Braces for patients of all ages. Invisalign is a series of clear removable aligners that straighten your teeth usually faster than traditional braces. The convenience of being able to brush your teeth easily during orthodontic treatment is a great advantage, not to mention the esthetics and comfort of not having brackets bonded onto your teeth. Dr. Gary Gruendeman, our practice orthodontist, has been with our practice for over 12 years and provides both Invisalign orthodontics and traditional orthodontics using the new Damon 3 Bracket System.

Dr. Gary Gruendeman has established his orthodontic practice on a simple philosophy. "My practice is service oriented, and the staff works very hard to create and maintain a relaxed family atmosphere. We bring you into treatment by talking with you and explaining various options and procedures. You are not just another person walking in the door here; you're friends coming over to visit." he explains.

Dr. Gruendeman obtained his D.D.S. in 1982 at the Loyola University School of Dentistry, and then went on to earn his specialty certificate in Orthodontics in 1989. In addition to these academic credentials, Dr. Gruendeman also taught at the Loyola University School of Dentistry, first part-time in the area of crown and bridge. After earning his degree he then taught as a full time assistant professor. While teaching orthodontics, he also maintained his private practice, in which he treated both children and adults.

"One of the items that make me unique in my practice is my teaching background because it allowed me to remain in the academic setting and continue my own education while helping others with theirs," Dr. Gruendeman explains. That background continues to keep him on the cutting edge as is evidenced by the Damon 3 Brackets he uses in the office. "Another unique factor is my interest in children. If there is a skeletal problem, children should be treated around the age of six in order to minimize growth discrepancies."

In addition, Dr. Gruendeman works with a limited number of assistants to ensure that he works with each of his patients. "My responsibility is to deliver quality services and to personally work with each of my patients. I believe that the patient's time is as valuable as mine and I respect their individual schedules," he says.

Outside of the office, Dr. Gruendeman's hobbies include basketball, racing and a passion for golf. Dr. Gruendeman is married and has one child.
